My husband and I were in Paris during the "heat wave" the last week in March. It was fantastic. I read your book and followed your blog before I left. Learning about the food culture from your perspective really enhanced my trip. I feel that I "get it" now that I was able to experience it. (I have worked in the food broker world for 8 years and have been in many kitchens meeting the most interesting people)We were fortunate enough to go to some of the restaurants that you have reviewed. They were all awesome. These two I booked on line with La Fourchette. I did not have to worry about the language barrier and booked before we arrived in Paris.Antoine...took your advice and agree being able to see the Eiffel Tower at night, and then walking to it after dinner was really coolCitrus Etoile...side note they have an English written menu available if you askThis restaurant does not take reservations. They do speak English...Fish La BoissonnerieOur hotel booked us the reservation for Verjus which was just profiled in the May 2012 Bon Appetit by you, Alexander Lobrano. They speak English. And one of their employees recommended that we eat/drink at her fathers wine bar right near by and we did. I cannot remember the name but will recommend anyway. We can't wait to go back. I will certainly refer to your blog and book again. Thanks again!
Thanks so very much for writing, and it makes me v.v. happy that you found your way to some good eats through my work. You might also enjoy reading the profile of VERJUS that I did in the current issue of Saveur Magazine, too. All best, Alec
