I have been trying to decide between Aux Lyonnais (which seems to be getting such mixed reviews these days) and Benoit and this post sealed the deal for me.

I also wanted to thank you for "Hungry for Paris." It was the first book I bought when we decided to go to Paris (we'll be there next week – first time!) and it guided most of my restaurant decisions. It is an absolute must-read for any foodie traveling to Paris!

Benoit is much too expensive for me to frequent on anything but the most occasional basis, but at least the financial indulgence is justified by excellent quality, really good cooking, and delightful service. Best, Alec

In this case, you are getting what you paid for, too often not the case.
